Why. A backup you've never restored isn't a backup. This POC builds a tested backup and recovery strategy.
What I prototype
- Encrypted, incremental backups (restic/borg) to object storage (S3-compatible).
- 3-2-1 rule, rotation and retention.
- Regular, automated restore tests (the part everyone forgets).
- RPO/RTO objectives and a failover runbook.
